Share Your Thoughts: SCSD Climate Survey is Now Open!

Each year, the Syracuse City School District asks students, staff, and families to complete a Climate Survey to share their feedback on the district’s performance.
This year’s Climate Survey is now open! Please click here to take a few minutes to complete it.
The survey will help us as we work to understand the attitudes of our families and see how their beliefs have changed over time. This year’s survey focuses largely on barriers to engagement. It asks about factors that can create challenges for families to interact with or become involved with their child’s school.

In the past, SCSD has taken actions based upon data from the Climate Survey that include:
  • providing anti-Bullying resources to every building
  • increasing the number of social and emotional learning (SEL) supports for students
  • relocating staff from community-based organizations
  • identifying priority areas for each school to build a more supportive environment for students and families

We know that having engaged families can lead to student success. Your participation in the 2022-23 Climate Survey is very important so that we can continue to move SCSD forward!

The survey will remain open through Spring Break in early April. If you have any questions or additional feedback, please contact your school principal or reach out to Mayra Ortiz, Chief Ombuds/Student Support Officer (315-435-4131 or mortiz3@scsd.us).

Thank you in advance for taking the time to share your thoughts!
