COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in SCSD Schools & Central
November 2, 2020
Dear Syracuse City School District Families and Staff,
We were informed today by the Onondaga County Health Department that we have two students and two staff members who have tested positive for COVID-19. One staff member is from Roberts PK-8 and last worked on October 27th with the other staff member working in our Central Offices and having last worked on October 26th. One of the students attends Henninger High School and was last in school on October 29th while the other student attends Lincoln and was last in school October 23rd.
Per the Onondaga County Health Department there is no contact tracing needed for the Roberts or Lincoln positive cases. The Health Department will be in touch with those, both staff members and students who they believe may have been exposed to the individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 at Central Office and Henninger.
Please remember to wear your mask, stay socially distanced and wash your hands. Now is the time when we must be as vigilant as ever.
Thank you for your continued support and patience.
Sincerely,
Jaime Alicea, Superintendent of Schools
