GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) is a national discretionary grant program that creates innovative programming to increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education.

NYGEAR UP has partnered with Le Moyne College Erie 21 to offer our 8th grade students additional tutoring opportunities both in-person and virtually Monday-Thursday 4:00-8:00 pm. To receive these tutoring services & to sign up for a time you must complete the application here

Get ready for Regents Exams with NYGEAR UP! Our expert teachers from SCSD are offering small group sessions (max 10 students per teacher) in Living Environment and Algebra 1, on Saturdays from May 4th to June 1st. Choose morning (10am-12pm) or afternoon (1-3pm) sessions with lunch provided (12-1pm). Sessions are held at SCSD High schools across all quadrants. Topics covered listed for your convenience. Free Regents Exam Study Books included! Transportation via Centro bus passes are available upon request; please ensure your child has a ride or can walk to sessions.
