Syracuse Stands for Students
SCSD Families,
As we prepare to welcome you all back for a new school year, I am excited to share a new communitywide initiative called Syracuse Stands for Students.
On the first day of school, Tuesday, September 8, residents, businesses, and community organizations across Syracuse are being encouraged to stand outside their homes and workplaces to cheer on and support our students as they make their way to school. Community members will also be encouraged to display our “Syracuse Stands for Students” signs in their windows and doors.
We want every student to begin the school year knowing that an entire community believes in them and is invested in their success. We have collaborated with the Board of Education and City of Syracuse to make this initiative as widespread as possible.
We ask all our families to join us and participate in our Syracuse Stands for Students campaign. More information on how to get involved can be found on our website, https://www.syracusecityschools.com/syracuse-stands-for-students.
Thank you for everything you do to support your child and their learning. We look forward to seeing Syracuse stand together for them on September 8th.
Sincerely,
Superintendent Odom
