Syracuse Stands for Students
Show Your Support on the First Day of School
On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, the Syracuse community is invited to come together for the Syracuse Stands for Students Initiative.
Families, neighbors, businesses, organizations, and community members can help welcome our students back to school and remind them that their entire community is behind them.
One community. One message. Every student deserves a community behind them.
How can I get involved?
- Take the Syracuse Stands for Students Pledge.
- Create a sign or message of encouragement for students.
- Display your sign in a window at your home, business, organization, or community gathering place.
- If you are able, stand outside your home, business, or gathering place between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m. on September 8 to encourage students as they travel to school.
- Invite your family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues to participate.
- Share a photo or video using #SyracuseStands.
Help Us Spread the Word
Share this page with others and encourage them to join us in showing Syracuse students that their community supports them.
